They probably wouldn't, but Miami shouldn't give up anything of value. (Really they just shouldn't trade for him, period.) Is OKC under the cap? If not they probably want to unload more money. They've been talking to Miami about Russ so I'm sure they have a general idea of what Miami isn't willing to part with at a minimum.Monkey_Driven wrote:Why would the Thunder take that trade? I think the Thunder are only $1-2 million over the cap. They could easily shed that.4/5 wrote:They probably wouldn't, but Miami shouldn't give up anything of value. Anyone else thinking LeBron will have a better year this year? Summer off, no playoffs last year, able to rest his aging body more.

Yes, I think he will have a very good year. I could see him and Davis only playing 65 games or so to rest for the playoffs.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Anyone else thinking LeBron will have a better year this year? Summer off, no playoffs last year, able to rest his aging body more.

Only he's been making space jam and going to his kid's games, not sleeping in his hyperbaric chamber like he should be. You'll see.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yes, I think he will have a very good year. Since we don’t have a WNBA thread...
One of the players on the Seattle Storm has been accused by her wife of stabbing her with a pair of scissors.

Windy says the Heat are demanding their own 2021 and 2023 picks back in any trade for Chris Paul. It's tough to imagine OKC giving Miami that unprotected 2021 pick back, though.

What the Heat give up? Why would the Thunder make that trade just to shed long term salary?4/5 wrote:Windy says the Heat are demanding their own 2021 and 2023 picks back in any trade for Chris Paul. It's tough to imagine OKC giving Miami that unprotected 2021 pick back, though.

So this ends up being a solid fkn team. Nicely done.verb_to_trust wrote:Okay I'm bored and can't sleep.
GM--I'm not going to pick a GM since you want this to be somewhat realistic. Garpax will never be fired. The Bulls are run like a mom and pop store. John made a three once so he can't be fired. Ever. For the purposes of my roster selection I will assume Garpax's number one priority will be not to go over the salary cap, which is projected at 109 million next season.
Coach--A coach I've learned to admire that I could definitely see as a Bulls type hire would be Erik Spoelstra. How much longer can he be in Miami? Seems like things have run their course down there for him.
PG- Dame Lillard (30 million). He's everything I want in my franchise player. He has a certain dignity guys like Durant and Irving can't pull off. Is he good enough as a franchise player to win a title? No, but he's the kind of guy I'd ride with anyway.
SG-Bradley Beal (26 mil). I like Beal. Pretty sure he hates Wall. I hate Wall too.
C- Jarrett Allen (2.5 mil) Rim running defensive big who improved from year one.
PF- Pascal Siakam (2.5 mil) I like his game.
SF- Kawhi Leonard (21.5). He's good.
Bench: Derrick Rose, Malik Beasley, Bam Abedayo, Derrick Jones Jr., Taj Gibson
Late round draft guy in this year's really shitty draft? Kevin Porter Jr. - USC. Supposedly has attitude problems. His shot form is a little clunky looking but he has the right body. I bet he goes mid first round so not sure if that's a deep enough cut for you.

It used to be said that the most affordable way to see two Lakers games in LA per year was to buy Clippers season tickets.
Maybe not so much the case anymore?

I don't think Jordan gets enough shit for how badly he's handled the Hornets.
