No, new members can still join. Mods just get a notification and have to approve it. When I was a mod, the probably 15 most recent new accounts created were balki ips, so they were denied

been having a lot of trouble getting youtube videos and tweets to embed properly lately (using the buttons above, like hundreds of times before). not sure what's going on
