I think today's order will go:
Infallible
Lightning Bolt
Seems fitting to end the reveal with the title track.

Oops, you're right, assuming we get LB & Infallible, there's still one more mystery one.harmless wrote:Don't we have a third unknown as well as MYM? Sorry I mean second.EJ wrote:Aye. I don't know why they'd do MYM artwork again though.

Because they have to give us the non-single version that doesn't have 'Pearl Jam' written on it. I'm guessing two new ones today, and MYM and LB tomorrow.EJ wrote:Oops, you're right, assuming we get LB & Infallible, there's still one more mystery one.harmless wrote:Don't we have a third unknown as well as MYM? No Ceiling is one of my favorite PJ-related song of the last 6 years... but it's perfect as-is. If the band tried it live, then that's cool, but I don't need another recorded version on an album. It makes it feel like they've hit a writers block.[/quote]
Yea youre right it is perfect as it is...They should try it out live one day....as long as they dont change the tempo i think it would be good...Its one of my fav pj related songs of the past decade i think....incredible lyrics...

Aye!
I hardly ever listen to Uke Songs and I'm not even sure if I could hum SBM to myself right now... (
hmm? nope)
So as far as I'm concerned, it's a new song. And furthermore, if they felt strongly enough to include it on the new album (at the expense of something like OTE?) then there is the slight possibility that they did something really badass with it.

SBM is actually one of Ed's strongest melodies for ages. I hum it a lot.

Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
Seriously, I just tried it and all I could hum was the melody from "Goodbye". Since the tune is not currently lodged within my noggin somewhere, I'm going to outlaw Uke Songs until release day, so no matter what, I really might be able to convince myself that SBM is a brand new song!harmless wrote:SBM is actually one of Ed's strongest melodies for ages. I like how the hint at Molotov cocktails makes the "My Father's Son" title more volatile. Maybe lyrically it'll have a hint of how Ed is a neutron bomb about to go off.

Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
That's what I've thought. Presuming they keep the mym mostly the same that's not really a 'reveal' maybe they'll toss us that one on the side, then we've got 3 New ones and it'd be lame to keep one for tommorow or next week. So maybe they'll do em all today. Cmon pearl Jam, don't be laammeeDr. Van Nostrand wrote:That why i was wondering if they would skip MYM and give us 3 todayEJ wrote:Oops, you're right, assuming we get LB & Infallible, there's still one more mystery one.harmless wrote:Don't we have a third unknown as well as MYM? Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
They've set a precedent for the Vines. Am I right that the record one had a 'scratch' sound with it? (Still haven't heard it.) Maybe we'll get audio Vines?
