Don Lemon has gone so far as to say on air that white men are the biggest terrorist threat in America. When challenged on that he doubled down. There’s no evidence that what he said is true, but that doesn’t matter to him, or CNN, or the leftists that watch his show. If something like that was said about any other group (women, gays, any racial minority, religious groups, whatever, it would be deemed racist, sexist, some kind of “phobic”, and bigoted. But because Lemon is black and gay and liberal he can say whatever he wants. Similar things are said on basically a daily basis on both Cable “News” shows and Network TV shows.

I’m tired of it too. It’s exhausting.

In the same way that leftists disregard sources politically right of... socialism, I take anything I read from sources like Snopes with a skeptical eye. They have a narrative they are pushing, just like anyone else, you just happen to agree with them ideologically so you don’t question their narrative.

You should turn that skeptical eye to the image you shared, my dude. I just straight-up refuse to believe you don't experience even a little bit of cognitive dissonance as you try and pretend that gang violence is the same as what people are talking about when they refer to the "mass-shooting epidemic". And the fact that, when pressed on that distinction, you wave away the argument with flimsy piffle like "killing is killing, isn't it?" comes off as willfully missing the point for the sake of "gotcha!" lib-owning. To skim past nuance like that is the definition of intellectual dishonesty.

Of course they aren’t “the same”. The truth is that gang violence also happens much more frequently and regularly than “mass shootings”. Both are terrible. Both are a problem.

The article bounces back and forth between "mass shooting" and "mass killing" easily causing confusion.

I think I agree with part of what you are saying... the varying definitions of the terms allow for easy agenda driven framing of these tragedies and there does seem to be theme in the media of tying mass shootings to young white men despite the data pointing a different way, even in public killings. If there is a clear distinction between gang-related and 'stranger spree killing' (for lack of a better term) it's not exactly clear which set of data is being used in the headline news style reporting you get on CNN. I would caution you though, that even if white supremacy is not the leading causing of mass shootings, it is a cause and maybe a root cause of many more of them than one would suspect given the economic and social oppression it has imposed for decades.
