Imagine if this was how the polling had looked in 1994. Democrats trying to pass their assault weapons ban would not have had to make concessions like that absurdly narrow definition of assault rifle or a set expiration date in order to pass the bill.

Oh hell yeah, great point man. While we're at it, can we provide constitutional protections for anti-vaxers and drunk driving advocates? Both are quite unpopular but surely they have a right to these actions and beliefs.
