I think one in conjunction with MNF football makes too much sense. So either Ruddo's right and we get one at D23 and another one month later during MNF. Or we get one during MNF in Sept and a final trailer #3 the week of Thanksgiving.

I’m reliably told it’s a making of / sizzle reel being shown at D23. Not a trailer and it won’t be released to the public.
Apparently this is exactly what happened with TLJ.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that there will NOT be a trailer at D23. I think a "sizzle reel" makes sense. But they announced reshoots into September, so the idea of releasing a new trailer seems less likely to me.

The guy who makes the trailers for the new Star Wars films put up a post saying anyone attending D23 is in for ‘something extraordinary’ with the IX Star Wars logo.

It’s probably a behind the scenes reel. Well never see it online probably.

But it is intriguing

I don’t understand that “policy”. Why limit you sizzle reels and exclusive photos to conventions or celebrations, when you can post them online and reach hundreds of thousands of people with this easy type of advertisement.

Yes, let them people attending enjoy it for a few days as being the only people that have seen it, but then post it online a few days after.

We’ll get to see whatever they show at D23, but it will be shaky cam “smuggled” footage.

There was. It's where we first saw the red salt of Crait from the trench. It was like 2 mins long.
