I dunno man, you’ve got a Lana Del Rey album coming too. What on earth are you gonna do?!

Just to be clear you haven’t heard it and everyone says it sucks but you are convinced you’ll love it simply because it’s like a girl power thing?
Haha! Jesus Chriist. No, Bammer. Not at all. But you keep banging that drum, buddy.
No, I’m pretty sure I have this one nailed.
Think whatever you want champ. You will regardless of what I say. I know that. :peace:

The NYT interview goes out of its way to mention Carrie's butt cheeks, of course.

And I want to stress I'm not trying to pile on Joe or VG after all the hate the last few pages; if you're someone who loved Masseduction (I did not), I totally get why you'd be digging these new songs. And it's clear this is a divisive SK album, and I've made my position known. But this article just bolsters my current Sleater-Kinney worldview:

NYT: Sleater-Kinney Asked St. Vincent for a Creative Spark. The Trio Blew Up.
No harm, no foul buddy. I had a feeling you'd react to that article that way. I almost posted it but thought better off it, hoping maybe it would slip under your radar. I should have known better.

For the record, I totally respect your opinion on all of this, trag. Please don't take anything I say as an attack on your honest, thoughtful, and welcome responses to this stuff.

Yeah, I agree this doesn't reflect entirely positively on the creative process that went into this record.

That’s setting a very tough standard, the B-52s rule.

I listened to the title track of the new S-K, first time I’ve heard anything from the record (I’m broadly familiar with their past material but never owned any of their records and am not a fan in general): I liked it, it was better than I expected to be honest.

I said it before and I'll say it again...
These songs really feel like an extension of Wild Flag, and wed probably be way more excited about them if it was Wild Flag.

Did someone mention Carries over the top vocals?

I've heard four of the tracks already. And two of them rank among my favorite LDR tracks. :heartbeat:

This thing is gonna be great.
