Other than the cornball 50's birth of rock/Chuck Berry riffs in Supersonic (same as STBC, btw), I think the music is fine.

A bad song with good lyrics is still a bad song.
Um, not if it's the lyrics that spoil it... I thought that was the point I'd made?
Yellow Ledbetter has horrible lyrics. Noone's been able to decipher them in 20+ years!
So let's get this straight... a good song with bad lyrics can still be a good song, but a good song with bad lyrics can also be a bad song if it's the lyrics that make it bad... and a bad song with good lyrics is still a bad song...

Is everyone clear now? Where the fuck is a new #PJTrackReveal when you really need one?

It is weird to me that weakest title is the album title. Lightning bolt the song could have been called Obsene and Overgrown, and I would be going nuts for that song title.

ur point was bad lyrics can ruin a good song.
vtt's point is a bad song cant be fixed by good lyrics.
IT'S THE LYRICS THAT SPOIL THE SONG THE MUSIC IS FINE

Is that clear enough? Look, if Verb, or anyone else, thinks that PJ are just blanketly shit and any compliment towards them is insufferable, they can keep it to themselves, is that OK?
Hey, I say good things too.

Yellow Ledbetter isn't a great song. But regardless, if its lyrics are indecipherable the song is saved. The lyrics to Supersonic (and most of Backspacer) are crystal-clear, which is a problem when they're terrible.

I've been as clear as I can be. If people need a linguist to decipher what I've written it's not my problem.

Yeah, I don't understand that one either. Unless, they assume that the album cover is the art for the title track too.

Hopefully one day Supersonic will get the lyric rewrite it deserves

Musically, YL is a great song. Mike's take on Little Wing...

It's the same style, and it's no less detailed than the "Getaway" or LTRP artwork. It's more detailed actually.

Well, the general consensus here stippy is that the LB artwork is the red on black version of the cover artwork. :nice:

That's what makes it not a great song. It's a good one though, and I enjoy it. But it's effectively an instrumental that I hum to live.

I think it is, but I maybe wrong because we need more images with yellow to balance it all out.
