Took a bit to grow on me, but overall it's solid. I still think Name and Number is my fav of the 4 heard thus far from the new albumHuman Bass wrote:New single released, feels like Lanegan doing a Bowie impression or Im crazy?
Either way, I liked it.

https://boomkat.com/products/downwelling#v4921278Inspired, wholly unexpected collaboration between legendary singer songwriter Mark Lanegan and Ecstatic maverick Alessio Natalizia aka Not Waving - a timeless, modernist fusion of barrel-aged narratives and diverse, experimental backdrops, RIYL Scott Walker, Conny Plank & Moebius, David Sylvian...

I keep getting distracted by other stuff. I love just about everything I've heard by him though.Revelator wrote:Yeah, what are you waiting for?!kreng wrote:do itdurdencommatyler wrote:I really need to finally fall head over heels for this guy.

Apparently there was a deluxe version of the trees' sweet oblivion recently releaaed.
Put out by the same label that did the deluxe version of dust a couple years ago.

Re: Mark Lanegan
Correct, I bought a copy. It's great that they released some of the bsides/special release that came out around that time, but I was disappointed that the re-release of Sweet Oblivion wasn't properly remastered as the original recording is a bit date/lacking some power. The mix and master of Dust though is just as perfect today as it was back in 1996. I actually would love if everything pre-Dust got a proper (emphasis on PROPER) remaster.arthurdent wrote:Apparently there was a deluxe version of the trees' sweet oblivion recently releaaed.

He plays plenty of trees songs still. I think he just didn’t get along with the brothers. Professionally anyway.VinylGuy wrote:Damn, Oblivion is so good. I dont get why Mark seem to hate the Trees so much.
