This is a thread to share your opinions that are outlandish, likely unpopular, yet you still believe are right. I'll get this started with server work I had to finish up this morning that inspired this due from being pissed off.
Hot take: time zones should be abolished. Matt Yglesias made the case for this five years ago here.

Dumb because the problem it "solves" isn't much of a problem. People that need to collaborate between time zones routinely do it.
Also, for the majority of the people in the world who work during daylight hours, there would be a shift in what day it is in the middle of their "day". It would get confusing whether something happened on Monday or Tuesday.

Hot take: Massachusetts should do away with changing the clocks twice a year and instead shift to AST (GMT -4) year round.
