Would be cool to see some/any of the rebels cast. Even if it's just zeb or kanan.

How though. They’ve established Vader doesn’t learn about who Luke is until after ANH.
The Vader/Kenobi dialogue in ANH does leave wiggle room ‘when last we met I was the pupil now I am the master’ and ‘hes More machine now than man’
That last one could open a window to a facedown but I just can’t see them driving such a huge new wedge into canon.
You could have Vader hunting him, all the Jedi have been wiped out in order 66 except a few, Ahsoka included, so maybe it’s a subplot?
We could be dealing with the too obvious elements of this. I have no idea what they’re gonna do. Could be anything and that’s both delicious and frustrating.
If it’s even happening

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
I think the "more machine now than man" as well as Vader's "not felt since..." and "Obi Wan once thought as you did" all support their meeting again. I think if they meet/fight it won't be on Tattooine, though. That's too close. Vader would sense Luke.
My guess is, if they go that route, someone (Bail?) goes to find Obi-Wan and recruits his help. There will be struggle on Obi Wans part about whether or not to leave Luke. Maybe here's where Ahsoka could come in? Obi Wan leaves her there to watch him while he goes to confront Vader? I don't know. There are a TON of options. So many ways it could all play out.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
Vader didnt sense Leia was his daughter -this ties into one of the latest ideas that Rey is Luke’s daughter. He didn’t sense it either (until she’d left the island?) and Hamill and Russell have shot scenes together for IX. so...
You read my mind exactly on Ahsoka. And exactly how she could be brought in.
Ahsoka comes to him telling him about X Situation, and she tells him she had to face Anakin who is now Vader (Rebels) and that’s his impetus to leave and fix whatever the problem is.
Honestly every single window is open for Ahsoka to come in and be the vehicle for this whole thing.
And that’s fucking exciting

Vader and Kenobi don’t meet anywhere from RoS and ANH. That’s part of the mystique of the whole thing. That doesn’t mean Obi-Wan hasn’t been keeping tabs on him, of course.

Disagree. There's plenty of room and opportunity for them to meet. And I would love to see it. But they don't HAVE to either. Plenty of good story to tell without a confrontation.wease wrote:Vader and Kenobi don’t meet anywhere from RoS and ANH. That’s part of the mystique of the whole thing. We don’t know they haven’t encountered each other though.
That’s the space they might play in.
And as the quotes provided show, there’s room to play. I don’t think they will go there but they might

Just to add, they wouldn’t be doing an Obi wan series of they didn’t have an awesome story to tell.
They want this Disney + service to take over and rule.
In the world were in of game of thrones and stranger things, It’ll be something with serious clout if they’re going there.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
When in this timespan between movies would Vader consider himself the “learner” under Obi-Wan? He stopped being that when he gave in to the Dark Side in RoS. Vader also says “we meet again at last.” That’s not something you say when you see a guy and fight him every few years.durdencommatyler wrote:Disagree. Pisses me off no end that they have all these different platforms and mediums and they’ve never had Luke or Leia really go and find out about their mother. Some comic has Leia going to naboo and sensing something. That’s pretty much all.durdencommatyler wrote:Also, Leia remembers her mother. So...
Projecting my own issues maybe but dammit Luke you don’t want to know who your ma was?? And all your galavanting around the galaxy?
Wrong man. Wrong.

I would love a whole series with Obi Wan making his soup, staying late watching the view, walking through junk yards and coming back to his place.
And Vader frenetic, looking for him.

I get the impression he has been there but he’s by no means a regular.

Joe. For three or four years now I’ve been lead down a path telling me the one story I want in all Star Wars is happening. It hasn’t happened. Don’t talk to me about heartbreak please.
This all eminated from a news source nobody can verify although the guy that runs it is respected in the sw community and all outlets have ran with it.
I’m not believing this is even happening until next week. And goddammit Ewan better get brought out onstage and just say hello there and drop the mic and walk off.
Then i’ll believe.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
Cool. Then I'll believe for both of us. And while I'm at it, I'll believe Obi Wan got hammered at that bar a lot. And made a ton of friends in the process. And told a lot of stories.
