No shit. And it was about half a can poured over ice. They didn’t even give you the whole can. Unreal.Mickey wrote:The real atrocity here is the seven dollar soda.tragabigzanda wrote:Those are like Pearl Jam pricesBammer wrote:Drink menu at my HS reunion on saturday:

Re: The Food Forum Price Index
A friend of mine just called to get my take on what a fair beer cocktail price would be. He's having a beer based take on a moscow mule with some sort of small batch lime sour beer mixed with some house made ginger beer. Based on what he described, I guessed he paid $8. He said that's exactly what he paid but was surprised to hear that I thought that was a fair price.

banh mi:
Hanoi: $0.50
Houston: $1.50-$5
West Coast: $8-$9
NYC: $13
This is the perfect example of the market doing what the market does. Reminds me of the time I went to a Subway in Vegas and paid $8.50 for a $5 foot long.

Imagine living in an American city with a heavy Vietnamese population but also a large amount of New Orleans Katrina refugees and you can probably get a sense of why I'm totally okay paying as much as $5 for a good banh mi.doug rr wrote:and the 50 cents ones are the best..the vietnamese know their french bread
