After reading up on it and also reading thoughts on the album in this very thread, it sounds like it has a good formula for being a divisive album. Bands with the cult following that S-K had in their early career don’t get to revamp their sound without dividing their audience, you sillyhead.durdencommatyler wrote:washing machine wrote:Seems divisive based on this Carrie quote about the album:durdencommatyler wrote:This back and forth is far more divisive.washing machine wrote:I thought for sure it was divisive.

well duh.
But that's not the way people think. It's universally loved. There are a handful of idiots like me that think it's slightly less good than the general consensus, but who listens to idiots?

You can call me silly all you want, buddy. It may be a good "candidate." But it isn't a divisive album. However, if you need it to be one in order to get into it, then I'm happy to pretend it's SUPER divisive!washing machine wrote:After reading up on it and also reading thoughts on the album in this very thread, it sounds like it has a good formula for being a divisive album. Look man. I’m just an outsider looking in, and I’ve been reading this board since 2004. I remember posts when The Woods came out, and I remember it being pretty...whats the word?
Oh yeah, divisive.
