It'll take more than Tom Holland to make a billion dollar SM movie. Also, the whole connection to the MCU is gone for the S-M franchise, so no more Stark connection, no more Nick Fury, hell, they don't even get Happy Hogan. All of that is gone.

I'm not sure they'll even be able to use the versions of MJ, Aunt May, Flash ect from the MCU movies. Disney had to alter their versions of the characters so Sony could retain the classic versions. It will be pretty jarring if Aunt May is an old blue hair and MJ is a white redhead all of a sudden. Tim Rothman is the gift that keeps giving.
