Yep, it's nostalgia. Nostalgia for a time when every Pearl Jam album was gonna tear up your stereo/discman/tape deck for at the very least the first year after it came for because it was that fucking awesome and you couldn't stop listening to it even if you wanted to.
Backspacer is in my regular rotation. It passed the test of time for me, despite it's faults and blunders. But I enjoy the heck out of Johnny Guitar, ATW, Unthought, The End, etc, and it's been a couple of years, no?
