Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
Solo was the best thing it can be really. It didnt have much of a chance. They did a good job.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
The other huge advantage Kenobi has over Solo is that a beloved actor is returning to a beloved role. Without Ewan I think a Solo comparison is more apt and worthy of much skepticism.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
oh yeah for sure. Nobody really wanted another guy playing Solo. And i dont think the story was needed at all. Still, they did a fine job.
But yeah, ewan coming back is a go and there is actually a good chance here they can nail the story.

I hope it doesn't take place solely on one planet, though.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
I simply do not understand people saying he can’t leave the planet.
Why???? Luke was in no danger from anyone especially Vader. Who doesn’t learn who he is til much much later.
No reason at all obi wan can’t bail off World now and then

I can see "Ewan McGregor-age" Obi-Wan leaving the planet from time to time
I can't see "Alec Guinness-age" Obi-Wan leaving the planet anymore. I think at that point he's become the hermit.

Well, if you’re in hiding, staying in a remote place and not hopping around from planet to planet is probably a good idea.dimejinky99 wrote:I simply do not understand people saying he can’t leave the planet.

Yeah but if he changes his name to travel - 'that's a name I've not heard in a long time' - then maybe. I mean there's not a space TSA from what I could gather.

Keep in mind he’s not the brightest “hideout” person. He hides on his enemy’s home planet, he changes his first but NOT his last name.bune wrote:Yeah but if he changes his name to travel - 'that's a name I've not heard in a long time' - then maybe. Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
You make some good points here. He might be able to travel a little bit, but it would be a bit odd if he constantly travels all over the place.wease wrote:Keep in mind he’s not the brightest “hideout” person. Oh, and I forgot, he’s a Jedi hiding out wearing his Jedi robes.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
Maybe they can write it in a way, that shows he doesn’t usually do that.
