Release_Me wrote:Seconded. Vitalogy is my favourite by PJ followed by Ten. Realistically though, if influence and impact are taken into account, Ten would rank higher. But it all depends on what 'best' implies.
If I had to put together a group of records that greatly impacted/altered the aesthetic of 90's music, Ten would absolutely be the Pearl Jam album I'd put on it (and would be very near the top, especially if you're talking about just rock). Vitalogy would be part of a group of records that I consider to be outstanding artistic accomplishments on their own merits, regardless of impact/influence/etc.
Agreed

MYM isn't as special as anything on No Code, neither is FD or LB.
I mean the whole package.
Look at the elements separately - and they are just a bunch of polaroids, nothing special, eh
And songs. The whole package includes the songs.
I like MYM more than at least half of no code. not that this will surprise anyone
Half? ... But a few, for sure.
I prefer MYM to sometimes, smile, off he goes, habit (although the best parts of habit are better than the best parts of MYM), lukin, mankind, I'm open, and around the bend.
Just out of interest, how does MYM rank for you now? 4* or lower?
A solid 4.

Nothing's going to happen now for the next month.

bUT WHAT DOES IT SPELL?
Exactly the kind of spelling you'd get if you tried to write dowon the sound of a thunder bolt. I guess.

This week was fun with the artwork. I'll be fine until October 15. NFL starts Thursday, then the NHl starts back up. Plenty of stuff to hold me over.

Some clips of the songs would be nice though.

Well, there's gonna be that album pre-listening at the Ramones Museum, so that should keep the fire burning...
