I legit appreciate this joke and I laughed. But honestly, PJ album titles largely stupid. Backspacer fits right in.
I think Vitalogy, Binaural, Riot Act, No Code, Yield, and Vs. are all cool names.
VS is probably their best, I think. Vitalogy is a cool name but I kind of hate that it's just ripped from a book. The cover art doesn't help. I suppose in a vacuum, I like it. But the context hurts it. Ten, No Code, Yield, Binaural, Pearl Jam, Backspacer and Lightning Bolt are all meh to stupid, to me.
It might seem better than lightning bolt at first but then in a year will be grouped with the bad Pj albums. I bet they use current production trends for rock bands to make the drums super crisp and powerful and the album will have no soul. Pearl jam now overproduce lazy garage music, rather having balanced production on creative studio ideas.

I think Chris Cornell’s death either completely took the wind out of these guys’ sails, or it looms so large that maybe they feel the next album really needs to be something special or it’s just not worth doing. At this point I’m more in the camp of them not doing another album and just calling it a day.
