I'm probably going to go later for at least a short one. I wish I was still friends with King Joseph so he could motivate me with kudos.Dev wrote:I put a run in but I have to go hiking tomorrow so I felt I shouldn't do the extra few km for the win over verb. congrats verb.

Thanks, Joey. I’m hoping to do a better job with the nutrition side of things now that I’m working again on Tuesday.durdencommatyler wrote:Super impressive, Daft. Good work. Keep it up! That's awesome.

Re: The Running Thread
Daft, I'd go for the BQ.
You're unlikely to completely blow up running at a ~7:15 pace instead of 7:40.
Speaking of Boston, word has it you'll have to be at least 6 minutes under your BQ to actually get in the 2020 race.
I was 8 under mine, so I hope it doesn't get a big bump in registrants.
I've already convinced my job to pay for my trip since our company HQ is in Boston.

Re: The Running Thread
Man, the back of my right heel hurts like a son of a bitch. It's been sore for a week or so. But it's screaming at me today. It's so weird. It's not like any heel pain I've had before. It almost feels more like a bone thing than a tissue or tendon thing.

Re: The Running Thread
Okay, so about .3 into the run today my heel hurt badly enough that I was limping while I ran. I stopped and stretched. After that it was totally fine. I finished another 7.5 mile run with very little noticeable issues in my feet.
Now, though, five hours later, my foot hurts like a son of bitch again. I'm sure it must be a muscle/tendon issue. Probably need to stretch and roll out my calf and hip flexor. But this is so fucking weird and surprising. Kinda came out of nowhere too. I was going to run tomorrow but I think I might need to take a break. I'm not training for anything so pushing through seems stupid.

Tweaked my back cutting out a dead orange tree in my backyard on Monday.
Made it about 30 steps this morning before pulling the plug.
