Going to try the trial of course before I make the move; been reading mostly positive reactions across the web. I'm not really out to save oodles of cash (I realize Vue is a bit pricey on the high package side), I'm just fucking sick of years of monopoly/abuse from Comcast's shit service. Anyone think I'm nuts or making the right move based on experience?

We've had Vue for three years. It has only gotten better over the years. I've never regretted ditching traditional cable.

Rev, I think you should look at Vue and Roku. Lots of people happy with both. We’re finally very happy with roku adter first trying Chromecast and FireTV.
Thanks guys. Yeah I haven't read the best reviews about the Fire Stick when using Vue. I'm planning to either use my PS4 and/or buy a Roku (it's worth the $ IMO). I'm kind of pissed at myself for waiting as long as I have, especially since I already have a PS Plus account and can get a discount on the premium channel add-ons. I really don't give a shit about most of the channels, but the one channel I must have is HBO. I'm hoping some day they can offer 4K content. I'm retaining the Comcast internet service (cause I have no other choice in my area), and since I get the gig speed service (even though you don't technically get that speed via wireless), I'm assuming the performance stream for Vue is pretty solid based on the reviews I've read. Appreciate the feedback!

I use Vue on a fire stick and fire TV and it works great. Integrates well with the voice control of the remote as well

Still doing some research, but wondering if those on here w/ PS Vue can confirm: Is Vue capped out at 720p (standard def)??? That would really suck, I guess I was of the understanding that most if not all stations would be in HD (1080)

720p is not standard def. Cable channels only broadcast 720p or 1080i signals anyway. The quality on Vue is a step below a good cable box, but still "HD". Similar to streaming Watch ESPN or something similar.

Understood, thanks! Looks like I still need to dig into this a bit more...

I'm hoping they do something similar for the Disney/Hulu/ESPN bundle.

Now I feel bad for not posting about it (expired yesterday). It locked you into 3 years of Disney+ with an upfront payment of $143 (instead of paying $7 monthly or $70 yearly).

Yes. We did Saturday. Then yesterday I found out Fire TV by Amazon will not be a platform upon which we will be able to use Disney+. Not good.

Just read this: "But an individual close to the company said it would be "misleading" to indicate that a deal won't be carved out with Amazon before November 12."
