These guys haven't toured the states decently in 3 fucking years. They should of fired their manager for whoever came up with the decision to literally ignore most of there fanbase for 3 years.

Their "lets play cash grab stadiums shows in mostly liberal states" seems pretty much a cop out to me that they don't wanna tour anywhere they might get blow back over trump. And IMO, that's pathetic.

I don't care if they break up after this record, get this record done and fucking tour it, like they did 19 fucking years ago.

They don't even really talk about politics anymore though.

No, but other than the poster, what was political? I cant remember if I listened to that show or not. I know at the Boston shows he barely mentioned anything remotely political.

Missoula has some political speech, but more importantly it had a Jumbotron telling people how to register to vote, plus a small political festival on the venue grounds with all manner of liberal and non-partisan groups handing out info, signing up mailing lists, etc.

I mean, that's hardly the Riot Act tour.

I'm not saying the band is now hiding their political beliefs, I'm just saying that Eddie isnt talking about Trump for 15 minutes a show like he has in the past.

Right, but I think it's because they've realized they're better off spurring action from those who want to engage it, rather than potentially alienate/divide people with trumpeting his beliefs from the stage. Hence my argument that Missoula was more political: He didn't make any big speeches, but I bet there was a more direct correlation to their presence in Missoula and concert goers signing up to work with various groups.

Honestly, even though I agree with him 90% of the time, I prefer the lack of politics talk during the shows. I dont want to hear some yahoo in my section start bitching and moaning during the show.
