Re: Fantasy Football Discussion
Okay, so here's my team for week 1 in my League of Record. Please let me know if you have any objections/revisions. But ONLY if you mean it. Please provide support.
QB: Jared Goff (right now I have a waiver claim on Lamar Jackson, if I get him, I'll start him instead)
RB: James Conner
RB: Kerryon Johnson
WR: Julio Jones
WR: Mike Evans
TE: Vance McDonald
FLX: David Montgomery
DEF: Ravens
KCR: Zuerlin
BENCH:
Cooper Kupp
Damien Williams
Tyler Boyd
Robbie Anderson
It's a full PPR, btw. I'm playing against the guy that I'm certain will win the league, so if you have any real advice... PLEASE.

Re: Fantasy Football Discussion
So a league I've been in for years has had some snags with the draft. We were supposed to have it tonight, but everyone was leaving town because of the hurricane. To add to that not many people can do an online draft tonight or tomorrow before the first game. So we decided to let the computer do an auto draft for all of us this year and we will work things out in trades and waivers. Might be dumb but might be kind of fun.

Just picked up Jackson on your move here, Joey. Thinking of starting him over Rogers (against Chicago?)

I somehow ended up with three Steelers on my team. Need to drop either Smith-Schuster (unlikely), Conner, or Vance.

Re: Fantasy Football Discussion
If you're straight dropping, then it's Vance. Those other 2 could (should!) Have tremendous trade value. Don't just drop either of them.washing machine wrote:I somehow ended up with three Steelers on my team. Need to drop either Smith-Schuster (unlikely), Conner, or Vance.

I'll probably drop Vance, yeah. Man, our auction was crazy. This league has descended into pure madness and I love it.durdencommatyler wrote:If you're straight dropping, then it's Vance. Re: Fantasy Football Discussion
The bidding on Rodgers was picking up steam around the $17-$18 dollar mark so someone randomly trolled a bid up to $59 at the drop of a hat while people were still feverishly clicking. He ended up going for $60 out of a $200 budget. HA!
Our league got rid of kickers this year in favor of an OP position, so everyone has at least three QBs. Not sure I like that.

Re: Fantasy Football Discussion
With the advantage that running QB's get in FF, I think, yeah, go with Jackson. Miami looks awful. The Bears have a strong D. I think it's entirely possible that the Pack win and the Ravens lose. But for fantasy purposes, I think Jackson's upside & matchup are hard to ignore.Mickey wrote:Standard PPR.durdencommatyler wrote:I think I might, yeah. FWIW, every ff "expert" that I've seen also likes Jackson more than Rodgers. But no one knows anything.

I swear every year there are like 3 running backs that are listed as Green Bay's starter, no one knows who it will be, and I end up with the wrong one on my fantasy team

Re: Fantasy Football Discussion
I guess I wasn't paying attention and scoring settings changed, we're half point PPR now and losing a point per QB sack??
