Government outline their policies for the term of parliament and its dolled up in fancy language and the queen sits in the House of Lords at the start of term and reads it to them as the royal directive / prerogative For the term.

Weirdly enough the monarch is never allowed in the House of Commons.

Growing speculation now that Johnson will resign. If he does a caretaker PM has to be put in place and apparently it can’t be a Tory.

Interesting times

The Conservative party actually tweeted this today. The most pathetic thing ever in politics ever.

The retort though? Killing blow

They’re getting utterly childish now. This is all Dominic Cummings. A supposed evil campaign genius.

Rupert Murdoch’s tabloids have so much of the blame to shoulder in all of this.
They didn’t even check and printed anyways. In two papers.

That’s a member of the cabinet saying out loud that the government isnt negotiating for a deal. So much for all that pushback on the story from earlier this week.

Fair play to her. Boris comes to Dublin tomorrow. I’m betting/hoping you’ll see a NI only backstop as originally intended com out of that. It’s seriously tricky arithmetically to get it through HOC though.

Meanwhile on the merry old streets of London

You don’t have to be a genius to decipher this.

Make it a Northern Ireland only backstop. The only way forward. Boris gets to deliver brexit. Job Done.

So Boris is in Dublin and Leo pretty much cut him to pieces very slyly. Hard Questions from the presscorps after and Johnson dodger and avoided and waffles.
