I've only watched the two eps of S2 but I'm loving it so far.

Maybe I'm expecting too much given the gushing praise, but I'm not blown away by this yet. It's ok I guess. I'll keep at it. The interview scenes are great but the rest is meh.

Are you talking about just S2? Or are you just getting started with the series?

S1
I ultimately liked S1 a lot. But I do think it's uneven. I think it landed at like a B- for me.

Halfway through this season. I remember having a lot of thoughts after season 1, several big ones posted a few pages ago. Still having more thoughts, still watching this one alone. This is not the best show to watch when the birth of your child is so close, yet I can’t stop looking. Maybe I’m a little like Holden. I suspect a lot of this show’s audience is.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm interested to see what happens with Holden in S2. Up to the point I'm at he's in like 10 mins of the season. It's all Tench.

This season needed more Manson and more Kemper.

It was a good thing to have Tench as a protagonist, even if i dont really cared about some stuff in his storyline.

I got weirdly excited that they got the East Texas backdrop right and had the car facing the right direction relative to the airport when they were driving to and from Huntsville, TX to see Henley. That East Texas accent, not so much.

Managed a couple more eps of S2 over the weekend. I really like it so far. I think I like it more than S1. But I'm only like 5 eps into it.

I think all his stuff is available online. The stuff I've heard isn't bad at all, actually. But it's been years since I listened to it.

I’m not going to go seek it out. I don’t even know which one he sold to The Beach Boys. I thought the one on Mindhunter definitely had a Skip Spence vibe to it that I liked. A lot of those mucisians who went nuts in the 60s sort of strum the same.

Fun fact: I've never heard more than a handful of GNR songs.
