Nah, they're letting Lamar Jackson throw a lot. What better chance to get his confidence up as a passer?

"A lot" is relative, obviously. But it's striking how many plays they're calling with Jackson just dropping back and passing like a traditional passer.

And the Josh Rosen honeymoon is over. First play gets decked, second play throws a pick. That's about right.

Rosen is a mid-level NFL QB who should have a place on a NFL team, but like you said, he has been put in no-win situations.

I think the Cards should have kept him, but it's hard to argue against the excitement that Murray has generated.

Apparently the mutiny has begun.

My money is on Rashad Jones.

Bill was still pissed about the last second loss last year, so he made everyone play 60 minutes.

If a player, even of Fitzpatrick's caliber came to me (the dolphins GM or coach) and said he wanted traded, would I let him go? Probably. I want people on my new, rebuilding team that WANT TO BE HERE. He was very good and I'm going to miss him as much as Tunsil. However, all this is going to make for the most exciting off season I've ever experienced as a Dolphins fan. Looking forward to it. I now have two more teams to pay close attention to this season, Texans and Steelers, to root for to lose. Also Saints for that second rounder, though I doubt they'll lose much.

It wasn't. Of course it'd be nice if Flores didn't insist on rushing 3 and playing zone every third down.

I'm conflicted on the Minkah trade. I loved the Tunsil trade and don't understand why so many people are against that one. Trading a guy who is only one year removed from being a first round pick and is under team control at a favorable price for a couple more years is a little less obviously a good move, though. It'll depend how the Steelers finish. If this ends up as a top 10 pick it'll be a good trade. If they somehow make the playoffs it probably won't be.

The dumb thing is they're trading a proven first rounder for a mystery first rounder

It's like getting a corvette n opting to take what's behind door #3

Yeah it's an odd trade because you figure he'd be a person they would build the defense around going forward. At the same time if that pick ends up being top 10 I'm going to find it very difficult to hate this trade. Plus he's always been a bit of a whiner, complaining about not being given one job and forced to play out of position, etc. Which is kinda true, but wasn't his main appeal that he can the swiss army knife of DBs?
