I had to buy a new chainsaw for debris cleanup and cutting up the tree that fell during Dorian. Not gonna lie, shopping for a chainsaw gets my blood flowing.

Hope you bought one in NOLA instead of the newly inflated chainsaw market in Dorian's path.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I had to buy a new chainsaw for debris cleanup and cutting up the tree that fell during Dorian. Not gonna lie, shopping for a chainsaw gets my blood flowing.

I bought online. I've checked out the ones I'm interested in prior to the hurricane as I knew I needed a new one. Finally found one of them at a good price so I pulled the trigger.washing machine wrote:Hope you bought one in NOLA instead of the newly inflated chainsaw market in Dorian's path.E.H. How much patience should you have with a contractor? I met with one in July about replacing my roof. He came and measured and gave me a price. I haven't heard from him since. I called last week to check in, but he didn't call back.

Re: The Home Improvement Thread
What would cause a random puddle, about two feet long, to appear underneath one specific spot under your eaves? Happens every now and then and it can't be explained by recent rain because it's been pretty dry around here. I haven't gotten on the roof yet to go look, but when I do, I'm not sure what to look for besides pooling water.

Is it a full roof shingle awning? Or an aluminum or vinyl awning?washing machine wrote:What would cause a random puddle, about two feet long, to appear underneath one specific spot under your awning? Also, I said "awning" but I meant "eave".
