Has anyone watched the saga in Machete order?
http://static.nomachetejuggling.com/machete_order.html
The order to watch it: 4, 5, 2, 3, 6.
Leave out 1 all together.
I haven't done this, but I did try 3 to 6, and it works really well. Lots of parallels in the two movies, and like they say, watching that way actually makes 6 a better film.
They leave out 1 b/c nothing of real importance happens. It's essentially a waste of a flick, which I agree with. The only think you need to know is that Obi-Wan takes in Anakin, and Palpatine rises to Supreme Chancellor. Still though, you can gather that from the first 5 minutes of episode 2.

I really like the idea of the prequels being an extended flash back, but even though Im not a big fan of it i think id keep 1 included, but i think i might do it that way when i get the blu rays and my wife watches for the first timedarth_vedder wrote:Has anyone watched the saga in Machete order?

Drew McWeeny aka Moriarty from aintitcoolnews has been advocating watching Sar Wars out of order for a while now. Don't know if it was his idea or not. He has it 4,5,1,2,3,6. You kinda need to have 1 if only cause Darth Maul was kinda cool with the double light saber.

That's a great, great article. Thanks for posting that. Honestly, that's the first thing I've read or seen or heard in probably a good 10 years that's made me excited about Star Wars again.darth_vedder wrote:Has anyone watched the saga in Machete order?

Were the original theatrical cuts ever released on Blu Ray, or just the Special Editions?
