I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Comic book movies traditionally make a killing at the box office, other than that I can't imagine a reading of this sentence that isn't gibberish.

Look man I think getting mad about the Joker movie is dumb bullshit too but the idea that movies don't subtly promote ideas (about cops, about justice, about mental health, etc.) is truly stupid.

Well I haven’t seen this one yet; but I’m damn sure I won’t be looking for ideas on mental health or cops on this movie. It’s just fun. Sure, i guess the whole “guy who was left apart from society “ angle will appear ..but an actual comment on that? Yeez.

You don't have to...look for ideas in order to passively receive them? Jesus christ dude read a book.

Yeah I read a lot of them. Don’t really get why you are so angry when I think this is a minor movie and it’s just for fun.
I haven’t seen it yet, really looking forward to, and I’m almost sure it will be as shallow as it gets.

It's weird that you're reading anger into this situation, maybe you're actually an incel?

Anyway, every narrative has an implicit message, this has been my only point and it's a pretty basic one.
