Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Afterglow is fine and might work better if the record was shorter. But it's totally dispensable here in the album's current form. I don't dislike the song. And it's got a cool vibe to it. It's the kind of thing that I usually LOVE and I imagine it'll grow the most as I continue to absorb the record. I like it but it suffers from sequencing and a crowded album.

ME! is so much fun. I love having an alternate voice with Taylor's. It adds so much texture. The song is fun and bright and while the lyrics are borderline idiotic, the song works for me. Great melody. Great energy. Great pop. The production feels a tad tiny and thin. This is the Smarties of the record.

It's Nice to Have a Friend: love the arrangement. The backing vocals are great. Love the sentiment. Simple and memorable. The main melody is a tab tedious and expected but the strengths of the song overcome the weaknesses, overall.

Daylight is another perfectly fine song that doesn't really grab me. Again, maybe if the record was 11 tracks or so this would stand out as something interesting. But I'm a little fatigued by the time I get to it and it's not driving the record home for me.

It's just so refreshing to have any different voice. But, yeah, I'm with you.

Good record. Liked it more on second listen than I did on first, which is the way it should be. Looking forward to more listens.

Did the White Stripes comparison stick out to you on "It's Nice to Have a Friend?"

I feel like that's my favorite song on here now, I love the minimalism of the whole thing, and the choir sample is just perfect.

Listening to this for the first time now...

Why does she insist on using such boring sparse instrumentals?

She just comes across as so calculated. A performance piece without soul.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.
