It’s true that plants form what is called a carbon sink and they pull CO2 from the air. I don’t recall ever seeing anything about the effect of reducing carbon emissions to preindustrial levels on plants that have been soaking the excess up for decades, but I doubt this douche is right

Saying deserts are hot because they have no trees is like saying graveyards cause dead people.

Or something like that. I'm not good at metaphors.

It is great what Great Thunberg is doing, but she needs to relax a little. She said "you are stealing my dreams and my childhood". I mean, the planet is ok enough now, so she can still have a good childhood. Sure her dreams will probably be crushed by global warming.

There is a nonzero number of people who believe that the world will be uninhabitable in 12 years due to climate change

And also her point is...

No child should have to be at such an event begging world leaders to take science seriously. She should be home playing with friends, getting in trouble, falling in love and getting her life absolutely destroyed by a man.

If one would like to keep children out of harm's way, one should perhaps stop using child soldiers.

In all fairness, the most effective way protect your children from harm is to kill any people who describe a child they disagree with as a “soldier,” as these people are clearly walking red flags.

Also please don’t shoot holes in my very serious and highly reasoned argument Burt. It’s hurtful to me, personally. Besides....
