Cokie Roberts

I was not a fan of her brand of "journalism".

Former Clutch keyboard/organ player Mick Schauer died this weekend. I guess with Ric and Eddie Money dying that went under the radar, but Robot Hive Exodus slays.

Jacques Chirac, who was leader of France during the George W years and famously opposed the invasion of Iraq, died Thursday.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Kim Shattuck of The Muffs (and, briefly, Pixies). Dead at 56 from ALS. Huge bummer.

Really Really Happy is probably their best album, but I also really like their reunion album from a couple years ago. Love the roar leading into and out of the choruses on this one.
