Well I do think it's a shame we never got more Harrison Ford as Han Solo, although I am happy with what we did get. But we don't need him in TROS, and if he was there at all, it would have to be in a small flashback.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I hope you guys are cataloging all these "spoilers" now. So when the movie drops we can see how many were even remotely accurate. I would do it myself because I'm pretty certain most of them are total bullshit (some are maybe good guesses at best)... but that tiny percentage of me that admits that they could be accurate is too afraid to look at them. Just in case.

A lot of what leaks turns out to be true in the end, both with the movies themselves (too early to tell here) and leaked posters/toys etc. It has certainly been the case for this movie so far, with what little we now know through official channels.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
For some reason I clicked towards an article on makingstarwars.net so im pretty certain its accurate. It was like a car crash with bloody bodies everywhere. I wanted to look but not too closely. A quick glance. However, that was enough to see one thing.
Honestly though, its not going to ruin the movie for me at all. All comes down to the storytelling.

Not to forget MSW have a 90% hit rate on peak accuracy in past films productions. Big stuff like Han down to details like Luke’s compass and xwing.
I’ve read their rough breakdown up to a few months back and hated what I read so stopped.
I hope they’re wrong this time. But they almost never are.

From the leaks I've seen (mostly via headlines I've stumbled across), this has the potential to be a hot mess.

They were only ‘wrong’ on one thing I remember. The knights of ren battling Rey and Luke on ahch to. But that wasn’t even wrong. It was filmed it just don’t end up in the film.
It might turn up yet I guess

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
It happens a lot with a lot of movies. You're far more confident that it's been the case with this film than I am. Now that the toy "leaks" and stuff are starting to happen, I'm more inclined to think the stuff coming out this week and going forward is more legit. But they've had this shit on lock down from the jump. I find it hard to believe that there are any real plot/story leaks up to this point. Again, people throw things at the wall and some stick. And those people will take full credit. But I'm not buying that any of this has come from an official source.Anders wrote:A lot of what leaks turns out to be true in the end, both with the movies themselves (too early to tell here) and leaked posters/toys etc. It has certainly been the case for this movie so far, with what little we now know through official channels.

I'm *this* close to going back to look at their archives for the previous films. I know you swear by them. And I defer to you because you know your shit. But my memory/experience with the site is not the same as yours. I'll leave it at that.dimejinky99 wrote:Not to forget MSW have a 90% hit rate on peak accuracy in past films productions. Um... what? How do you know it was filmed? That's the first I've ever heard that.dimejinky99 wrote:They were only ‘wrong’ on one thing I remember. The knights of ren battling Rey and Luke on ahch to. But that wasn’t even wrong. It was filmed it just don’t end up in the film.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
This is just like Luke's hand floating in space. Now, all of a sudden, people claim that JJ filmed it and it was going to be in TFA. But I still haven't seen any credible source confirm that. When has JJ or anyone on the production team said that it was filmed? Maybe it was, I'm not saying it wasn't, but I'm not going to start claiming that it was just because Kristian Harloff says its so. You know?

You’re confusing their fuckin godawful webisite design and how it doesn’t work at all with their reporting which is on point
They had an accurate description of the battle on the cliffs with Rey and KOR and Kylo from set reports here in Donegal. It was backed up by local news here too. Loads of flashing lights and huge water tanks and rain all around the falcon set they built on Malin head when they were there.

Didn't they also report Rey would fight some giant sea creature in TLJ?

That's my memory as well. I'm tell you, 90% of the stuff that came out before that movie ended up being nonsense and totally unsubstantiated.Monkey_Driven wrote:Didn't they also report Rey would fight some giant sea creature in TLJ?
