But I agree it's just marketing at this point.

The media can cry about it all they want. This movie is gong to make a bajillion dollars probably.

Again, as superhero movies tend to do.

Woke critics and journalists get their hateclicks. Warner brothers gets it's millions of dollars. I get my "we live in a society" movie. Everyone is happy!

Whatever the hell is wrong with Joaquin Phoenix's shoulder/back, it should win an Oscar.

Wow at first I thought the controversy might be overstated, but then it got real controversial! It didn't pull any punches.

Good movie.

That scene with De Niro at the end is a classic.

yeah, i had a blast. Phoenix is just wonderful, the movie looks stunning...and i loved what they did with the story. They picked a few elements from the comics, invented others...great.

Its a shame he is done with the character tough.

The idea of films as a standalone entity is kind of where I'm at. I am sick to death of sequels, remakes and connected universes of properties; fuck that noise.

There is a 10:45 showing tonight, if I can close fast enough I think I'm going to catch this.

Spoiler: show
it was interesting how many of the dark or dramatic moments were punctuated with this silly slapstick comedy (the midget guy trying to get out of the locked apartment or Joker running into the door after being questioned by the cops, or the very end when he's trying to get away from the orderly in an almost Scooby-Doo like chase). It was so surprising and funny, but at the same time I felt like I shouldn't be laughing at it.

Question:

Does he sport the clown makeup throughout the film, of does he actually get the Joker's face in it somewhere?

I was supposed to see this Sunday, but a friend's husband died and the funeral is Sunday. Now I feel like shit for being mad about this.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Shoot up the funeral. It's what Joker would want you to do
