I'd be really surprised if Trump serves out the remainder of 2019.

I believe Trump is finished at this point. Republicans are likely already shitting their pants behind the scenes, and I think it's only a matter of time before they shed the albatross and hope to have any shot come election time. So I think they would like to put this behind them as soon as possible. Resignation and pardons is going to be the only card they'll have to play that may sway Trump to resign. I think you'll see a group of Trump "allies" basically stage an intervention and lay it all out for him. That group will undoubtedly contain Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham, Pompeo, Sean Hannity, Mick Mulvaney, Ivanka & Jared, Mnuchin, and Pence. Rudy will not be present. He'll be trying to get out from under the bus he'll be thrown under.

Pence becomes president before he gets sucked into this any further and will attempt to soothe us back into civility by saying that pardoning Trump was the right thing to do to "begin the healing that this country so desperately need." If given long enough as president before the next election, and given how stupid people are, he could be very dangerous as a candidate.
