Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
I can't believe the Backspacer thread is getting more action than this one.

Pearl Jam could return to Italy in June 2020 to present the new album. Photo by Alessandro De Vito. According to our sources, Pearl Jam could play at the Imola racetrack in June to present the songs of the new album coming out in May 2020. The possible date in Imola, the only one planned in our country, should be part of a tour European consists of a dozen concerts to be held in large spaces.

Ha, well not really. I'm pretty sure they were the only ones whose rumours had some truth to them in the past. Of all the rumours flying around everywhere I tend to believe those at that Italian site much more...evenslow wrote:that site is italian for alternative nation.
But remember the Rumor Pit on the official PJ site decades ago? That was a good source!

The Italian site was pretty good with info on both BS and LB.

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
I’d say Monza might be a more accurate bet for a racetrack show in Italy.
Only saying this as I went to the Singapore F1 event two weeks ago and it was a mix of racing and music. Muse, Fatboy Slim, Gwen Stefani and the Red Hot Chili Peppers all played post race in front of 70,000 plus.
Might just be the type of plug and play event the ‘machine’ would consider. New Album, newish audience , low overheads and big bank..Got some if you speed it. Carry on, let’s dough.

The part about the whole thing being a vehicle to move merch is what makes it believable to me.

Double album! World tour right away in the new year! Small venues!
Oh it’s all been worth the wait.
