Apart from lost stars and bloodline and a couple of others, the new books have been irrelevant. They each have a huge build up. To one little nugget that might mean something later. Or not.

I’ve given up. I don’t want moons killing chewie or Superman Luke. But still.

All of the characters from the extended universe will change in some way. Thrawn as well.

Batman and Spiderman are different from various movies, why can’t it be the same with Thrawn and Mara Jade? They are still great characters.

She can be the character she was when first introduced, the Emperor’s Hand or whatever it was called. Pretty much everything up to the point she and Luke fall for each other can stay the same.

Let’s take the Star Trek reboots then, of Kirk, Spock etc. Or any other reboot in history? If having a kid with Luke was all that defined Mara Jade, she wouldn’t deserve to be rebooted.

In the future I’m sure they will reboot the OT, and many things will change there as well.

I disagree. It’s exactly the same as Thrawn and any other character. She’s the most popular extended universe character. Possibly she can’t be Luke’s wife and the mother of his child, because of where Disney are taking the movies.
