Re: TOOL
Lol it's just derivative and lazy. That's why it seems connected to previous albums.

Re: TOOL
Since they released their discography on Spotify, I've dug in to Tool for the first time. I'm still digging. I started with what the internet mostly agrees is their best album: Lateralus. It didn't grip me right away so I moved on to Aenima, which was much more successful because I heard some of the tracks before. I moved back to Lateralus and now I can agree it's their best. I've never enjoyed music this heavy before, other than the heavy PJ stuff, so it was hard for me to really get into it but when I did, I was completely in. I love it so much. I used to feel like heavy stuff felt negative or mean but this doesn't feel like that to me now. It's empowering, beautiful, smart. I've given 10,000 days a few tries and it's growing on me. Same with the new one. Right now, I'd rank the albums I've listened to like this:
1. Lateralus
2. Aenima
3. 10,000 Days
4, Fear Inoculum
1. Lateralus
2. Aenima
3. 10,000 Days
