I hate when the first skit of the show is super shitty and unfunny. Like tonight with What's Wrong With This Picture

Re: Saturday Night Live
Seemed like an overall sillier episode than usual. I'm surprised Taylor Swift was used strictly as a musical guest & didn't pop up at all in a sketch.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: Saturday Night Live
The LGBTQ candidate forum opener could have been good but I don't know if they could do better than Joe Biden's actual awkward bath house comments. It was nice to Lin-Manuel Miranda pop up though; he was such a great host and surprised they haven't called on for another walk on part. The teacher's pet sketch was just bad and I thought "here we go" only to have The Grouch filmed bit and I immediately loved, that could be one for the season's highlight reel. David Harbour was clearly having a blast, particularly with he & McKinnon working well together to save the grandparent's sketch. His enthusiasm at the end is part of the I like the goodbyes.Weekend Update was fine, I keep having high expectations with everything going on but so far in they've been okay, a few laughs sprinkled in but quickly forgotten about. Dog Court was a fun closer that will no doubt be back.
Speaking of the goodbyes were those cargo sweat pants Woody Harrelson was wearing?
