Re: Brexit
The belief in the UK media is that the ERG will vote for the new deal. Still many questions about DUP, those Tories that thrown out, the independents.McParadigm wrote:What are the odds of their being enough ERG and Labour votes to get the deal through the Commons without the DUP, if it comes to that?

Re: Brexit
I don’t see how this passes HOC. And that might suit Johnson and he gets his election.

I found this article interesting:

"Boris Johnson will need backing of almost all 21 MPs he expelled to pass deal with EU"

Re: Brexit
Well don’t forget there are many Labour Rebels he can probably count on too. And anyone’s guess who among the expelled will vote with him.
Saturday is going to be fascinating.

Re: Brexit
Arlene Foster just said on radio ‘you can’t separate part of a nation from the rest of the nation’
Irony and self awareness aren’t the DUPs strong points.

Re: Brexit
So in reading Jon Worth's latest flow chart, he still has the odds of an extension overwhelmingly in its favor. Thus, is this just an empty threat by Juncker?dimejinky99 wrote:Apparently he can’t dictate this to all members. But here we are

Re: Brexit
Seems to be just supporting Johnson and sending a message to parliament. God knows at this stage. But only one day for all parties to review the full text is a big ask.
They’re gonna vote it down unless something really shocking happens.
Few of the expelled rebels have said they’ll support it going through.
Anyone’s guess until Saturday

This whole consent thing is potentially fraught with danger. But unlikely to ever manifest.
