If it's "just" general muscle soreness, I would run through it.
If you are not already doing it, I would recommend a big glass of chocolate milk after your runs. There's nothing better for recovery. Also, if you can stomach it, an occasional ice bath works wonders. I can't really do ice baths, so in the winter, I'll just wade up to my thighs in the outdoor pool at my gym.

It's too cold, man. My work schedule hasn't allowed me to run the last two days, and I'm fine with that.

Thats fine, buddy. I view being fit and healthy as a life long commitment. I dont need to be perfect right now. But by the time I take my last breath i will be able to say "you know, I lived a pretty healthy and active lifestyle"

A couple days off here and there won't ruin me because I will be healthy and active most of my remaining life!

I did a little bit better again tonight, but tonight was tough, i don't think i can do any better for a while, i managed to stay at a 5mph jog with a little bit of 6mph thrown it for the whole first mile, and got it right at 12 minutes, and i did a combination of jogging and walking until i stopped at 21 minutes and i was at 1.65 miles

10 miles in 75 minutes

Wanted to run outside, but the wife is sick and she really needed a break, so I took the older kids to the gym with me. About half-way there I realized I pretty much hadn't eaten anything the entire day. Luckily, I always stash energy gels in my glove box, so I downed two of them before the run. Created a Bat for Lashes running playlist and off I went. Ran sub-7s for the first 5 miles, then started to struggle. No finishing sprint, just terribleness.

I have a fairly nasty 14-miler (about 4,000 feet in elevation change) I'm suppose to do with a friend this weekend. Looks like I'll either be embarrassing myself or getting (cough, cough!) sick.

I was too chickenshit to run outside again today. So I ran stairs in my apartment complex. Nearly died. Feel like shit.

Lactic acid is a bitch and so is her sister.

Got in a great workout last night. Had the afternoon off so thought I'd double up at the gym. Holy crap did I suck; guess that's why they say to wait a day between workouts.

holy shit, dude, you're a conundrum. you run 10 miles in an hour and 15 minutes and refer to it as "terribleness." this, coupled with your location, which says, "in a dark place" led me to believe you were in africa. but you have a gym membership and a glove box, which i assume is part of a car, so that's probably not right. based on your posts, the only way i see you embarrassing yourself during your 14-miler (that's what i call them too) is if you shit down your legs. you are the champion of this thread, and i'd be lying if i said i didn't incredulously think of some of your posts when my gray balls are slamming against my thighs as i run 3 sub-9s on a treadmill between and elderly man i don't know and a large-breasted woman (who i sometimes fuck) at the Y.
