Totally. What an interesting side of the band that is. I suspect they would have more than held their own as a straight out guitar rock band.

"Gold," easily. It's a bit weird for a Pink Floyd song, but that makes it appealing. They play the hell out of the song, and Gilmour sounds like he can't quite keep up on the vocal, but that's another charming bit. "Conversation" is okay muzak, but it's clearly a transitional piece, and isn't helped by the abrupt cut.
