I'm editing an interview today with a GOP candidate for Federal office, and he's similarly responding to questions re: impeachment by undermining the Dems' process rather than the content of their concern. Seems like McConnell's directive yesterday to attack the process has already been bought wholesale by the entire party.

In the last 24 hours, we have:

- The former AG saying abuse of power is not a crime.

- A mob effort to shut down an investigation into impeachable behaviors that the administration more or less already admitted to.

- The very serious rule of law party took pictures and repeatedly tweeted from inside a SCIF.

- Trump’s lawyer insisting in court that the president cannot be investigated even if he personally commits a premeditated murder. Not “he can’t be convicted.” He cannot be investigated.
