Did we figure out if that collage of song images is actually the album cover?

It's not. We already got the album cover ages ago. It might all be on the back, or in the sleeve notes.

I haven't been following this tracklist reveal at all...just checked it out, and disappointed that Of The Earth didn't make it. Hopefully they record a studio version and we get it on a Holiday single or on LD2.

We know nothing from song titles, but still, comparing the titles from BS and LB, there's a real difference. I wasn't excited about a single title before BS came out.

Im starting to think i won't want to read song reviews from this listening party, Im starting to think i want to join completely back in with the anti leak club, and Im not totally sure why. I think i might be a little scared that i won't like what i read.

There's something to be said for waiting until you can have your own opinions. I've certainly read enough "Ugh, another Ed solo song!" to last me a lifetime. It does kind of destroy any impact the songs might've had by themselves. A lot of people feel negative about a certain kind of song, and their review is somehow able to transfer that negativity. I feel as if this happened to me with LB. I still find the chorus weak, but I've found plenty of PJ choruses weak in the past, and here (as in all those times), the rest of the song makes up for it. But man, we were all shitting on it at first.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Im starting to think i won't want to read song reviews from this listening party, Im starting to think i want to join completely back in with the anti leak club, and Im not totally sure why. I'm pretty much looking for a specific thing in the review, so it shouldn't ruin my experience unless there end up being several songs of that ilk. Then I'll be pissed off.

I've always been able to form my own opinions even when there is a lot of negativity towards what i like, but Im more thinking of if the reviews say that something like "getaway is a normal fast paced pj opener" or "so and so is this albums hey fukah " which would both disappoint me because i would like them to open the album slowish again, and i really want 12 full songs after 4 years. But i doubt ill be able to keep myself from reading what gets posted from now until the release, but i feel like i want toharmless wrote:There's something to be said for waiting until you can have your own opinions. I'm really hoping the soundcheck song has something in common with NAIS. It seems to.

I remember feeling the exact same way. When the tracklist from BS came out I remember thinking they all seemed so generic. I remember thinking why would they do a song called "Speed of Sound" whne it's a famous Coldplay song. At least with LB, the titles are interesting and thought provoking. They sound cool, and I have no idea what style they will be. They seem like serious titles from a serious band, not just cheesy thoughts. Still, we will see. I'm trying to keep my expectations low but with the song titles my hope is growing by the day.

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
I'm interested to find out which of the tracks actually is the soundcheck song. My money is on either Infallible or Swallowed Whole. Whichever it is, it seems likely to me that the other of the two would be the one used as intro music on the tour video. Just speculation of course.
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
I wouldn't mind a mid-tempo LOUD song, like the new 'Blood'. But that seems unlikely at this point. I thought the intro to MYM might be that originally...
