It's the same kind of ship. Just like there's the same kind of ship as the Ghost. Obviously, we don't KNOW that it's the Outrider or The Ghost. And I'm 100% sure neither will be named in the movie. But the same model ship is there.

We could see anyone.
So easy.

They should do it.

They won’t though :(
They won't and they shouldn't. Unless there is a plan in place to use the same actor(s).

Agreed. But we don’t know what plans they have.

Remember Ezra ahsoka Sabine and indeed Hera and Jacen are still in the mix.
And they have a rabid huge following. And lucasfilm listens

None of those characters will be in this movie. I love that they're still "in play." But we aren't seeing any of them in this.

This post defeats your reply to me :)

Chopper and the ghost are in rogue one. And we hear hera getting called over the tannoy

I’d say they definitely have a plan to bring them in. What better way to launch that then at the end of the skywalker saga.

Platform for a new stage. Maybe a series

We’re so lucky right now.

More Star Wars. Loads more of it coming.

Just hope the good lord spares me to see the Kenobi series

No. He (Dash) isn't PHYSICALLY in ANH. Just his Outrider. My reply to wease actually supports my reply to you. :) ;)

Chopper could very well be in TROS. That wouldn't surprise me or contradict me at all. Hearing a name isn't the same as seeing the character. I imagine we'll HEAR a lot in this next one, too.

I'm super excited for them to launch the new era and to hopefully see many of these characters. But it won't be in this movie.

I love how uniform and static the Empire/First Order is and how wild and varied the Rebels/Resistance have always been. The visual metaphor has never been lost on me and always makes me happy.

Born out of necessity in the best way I’d say. :) spent most the money on Death Star sets and recycle reposition them. Pretty massive expense/outlet for stage hands etc.

Then paying some stingers to kitbash models and ships etc from dollar stores to make the rebel fleet.

Necessity is the mother of invention

That said all my pals always loved the empire toys more than the rebels.

Fuck tie fighters.

Gimme the falcon or an x wing everytime

I've always LOVED the x-wings. More than any other vehicle, that's the one. For me.

Only ship I ever owned. My gran brought and glen on the train to Northern Ireland (cheaper shopping at the time) bought us both x wings and we had them out on the train home holding them up to the window as the landscape flew by to make it look like they were flying.

I had the battle damage stickers an never knew why anyone woul put them on, makes your x wing look all beat up and shit.

Now. I’ll weather the ever living shit out of anything to make it look beaten up:)

I wish I still had that x wing. Such a genius simple design.

Push down on R2s head to open S foils for attack position :)

:luv:

makes me SO happy...

Honestly, when we talk about "what is Star Wars" the very first thought that pops in my head is R2 in position in an X-Wing. Literally, more than lightsabers or anything else, the main iconography to me is R2 in an X-Wing. I love it so much!

See that makes sense. That’s magical.

(BB8 in an x wing made none. Especially seeing the inside. Astromechs like R2 were made to fit and given all the necessary appendages. Poe with his ball fetish.)

Anyways.

I hope we get a fuck ton of R2 in this

Honestly, my biggest worry about TROS is a lack of R2. I hate how little he's been used in the ST. But in the last two, at least, when he's used, it's been crucial and super important. I hope he gets something meaningful and memorable here, too.
