The violence in this game is pretty intense/gruesome, and I love it.

Have this sinking feeling though that like most every other big game this will get delayed till early spring or summer. I hope I'm wrong!

Hands on previews are out there. Not a ton of changes to combat (good). Looks like more of the same with larger areas to explore (similar to UC4 and U:LL). AI improvements too.

No multiplayer? WTF

Maybe adding it after launch. I guess they needed to get the main game out before the PS5? The cynical side of me believes it will be an added feature for the inevitable PS5 version.

Yeah my thoughts are it will release months later as an add on or some kind of DLC. Actually I'd gladly pay $40 for another story DLC/expansion (a la Uncharted Lost Legacy) the following year if it means more single player campaign. I can live without the multiplayer, but I feel that Factions from the first game was popular enough to warrant a multiplayer release of some kind down the road.

Reading through the media impressions and it's sounding like everything I hoped it would be--just a beefier, more intense and visually stunning progression of the first game. Sometimes keeping a formula that works is the right thing to do!

I will not be watching any footage or reading anything about this game. I want to try not spoiling anything about it for once. It should enhance my experience. I'm sure it will be amazing.

Good call, I feel like I've read too much already. I think my time of news deprivation for this game begins now

Same. I think they will keep the real spoilers secret, but still...

Damnit! I don't really understand why they would announce a release date, only to delay it two weeks later. What changed?

As long as they release another amazing and essentially finished game, I'm OK with it.

Plus it gives me a little time to play through the original once or twice more.

Yeah that part is weird. To renew hype and try to sell a few more PS4's before christmas maybe?

Totally agree. I figured it would be delayed just as UC 4 was, but I was shocked to hear the announcement so soon after the release date reveal. Figured we'd get the bad news around Xmas...

New release date updated in title. Apparently a bunch of late game spoilers were released in videos posted to YouTube over the weekend. Be careful out there.

I'm gonna go dark on this until June.

Yeah, same. Very excited for a new, deeply story-driven, action-packed AAA game, and don't understand why anyone intending to play it would watch videos or read articles that could potentially compromise any of the fun.
