The intro to GSMF is quite annoying. That high surf guitar has nothing to do with the rest of the song, and it's misleading in the same way the U2-esque intro of Severed Hand is.

And (not that I want to bring this whole thing up again) the words are so clunky. I'm not saying they are especially bad lyrics, but I don't like the way they ride the song. Ed's vocals don't work as well here. Again, I don't hate GSMF, but it's never done much for me. I could take it or leave it.

"I'm gonna see my friends to make it go away", "I'm sick of everything", and all this hardcore shit, but the story is so mundane it's funny. He's going to hang out with his buddies because he'd down and they'll make him feel better.

That's a fair criticism. If these guitars were chunkier (like AIC chunky) it might've worked better.

You dont feel the need to hear more loud the guitars? Im with you in terms of groove and Matt, but this a Stone song and him and Mike feel they only appear at the end.
