Re: NBA Thread
The Heat have an exciting young core in spite of Riley's horrible signings and management of the salary cap. This is not a lottery team now or in the near term future and the salary cap situation clears up quite a bit in the next two summers. I don't love the Butler signing and that contract will almost certainly look really bad in a couple of years, but I think this team can be very competitive in the East this season.

Why don't you mention Bam? You too in love with the shooty white guy to acknowledge he is going to be legit this year?

I could add so much great content to this thread if it was at all functional to embed anything on mobile (or desktop for that matter).

I love Bam. Game saving block against the Bucks Saturday night. Dude is a real one. Shooty white guy is heading to the bench when Buckets returns from his baby vacay. Kendrick Nunn is going to stay starting which is fine with me.verb_to_trust wrote:Why don't you mention Bam? Who has the ugliest/worst drives to the basket in the league? I’ll probably lose to some of you with League Pass, but I’m all in with Kelly Olynyk. I think I have pocket aces. Every single time he drives it looks like a travel, an offensive foul, and a turnover all rolled into one. It’s quite offensive.

Too bad Joakim Noah isn't still in the league. Centers and forwards are too easy though. I'm going to try and think of a few guards.

Michael Carter Williams has ugly drives. He's legitimately one of the worst basketball players I've ever seen actually.

You go ahead and enjoy that, Brooklyn. Oh, this is just the start if true.

Kyrie Irving's mood swings reportedly a concern for Nets, but Kevin Durant supports his style '100 percent'
Yet Irving's infamous mood swings, confirmed by his ex-teammates, which followed him from Cleveland to Boston to Brooklyn, are the unspoken concern that makes Nets officials queasy. When Irving lapses into these funks, he often shuts down, unwilling to communicate with the coaching staff, front office and sometimes, even his teammates. Nets team sources say one such episode occurred during Brooklyn's trip to China, leaving everyone scratching their heads as to what precipitated it. There's hope that Durant will be able to coax his friend into a better frame of mind. But when presented with that scenario, K.D. says he will be hands off.
There has already been leeway to allow Irving to march to his own drum. The Nets are willing to look past moments like the photo shoot at the Pearl TV Tower in China, when Irving refused to remove his hat and instructed them to photoshop it out. They will focus more on the bigger issue of sharing the ball and maintaining good team chemistry.
