Not a good way to start off what should otherwise be a festive week for all involved. I sincerely hope the organization handles this in a classy way that makes their employees feel comfortable around the clubhouse. Doesn't look good.

Al Osuna has always been one of my favorite Astros, though. He picked me to throw a round of catch with him at a free baseball clinic in the outfield of the Astrodome before a game back in 1991 or '92. Good times.

on the bright side, quantum computers will soon annihilate the human race, so there won't be any more wives to beat or journalists to offend

unless the computers decide to start playing baseball games

and beat their wives

and report on them

Can’t say I disagree with ST’s take here. His inclusion on the roster has never felt good.

“Baseball breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall all alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.“
