For the most part I find Kojima overrated and everyone's obsession with him puzzling, but I am very interested to see him unchained from Konami with a new IP.

I did too, until I played MGSV and realized not only how brilliant some of the mechanics are, but how emotionally connected the game was to his own story with Konami. Some things I would have found overwrought or silly by themselves were really profound when seen in context. He's a weird guy, but I'm really interested in Death Stranding.

I adored the gameplay in MGSV.

That's pretty much my take on Metal Gear games. Excellent gameplay peppered with ridiculous cutscenes and narrative. Maybe it's an anime/manga thing and I just don't get that aspect of it.

i watched a video review of LM3 and it looks super fun. Too bad you can't do online co-op though.

That would be more disappointing if the Switch had an even remotely competent voice chat system. I'll take local co-op.

I think you can still play the multiplayer mode online.

I'm still trying to swing the 4k tv upgrade by my wife. she agrees the picture is amazing but cannot see the logic in replacing something that works. I cannot fight that logic with anything other than "oh no, how did this brick go through the TV screen...?" so I'm stuck. That's ok, means I might get a PS5 instead of a 4 right when they retire.

Just watching the video, my first thought was "It's a modern Zombies Ate My Neighbors." Which would be an awesome thing.

I bought it but its a Christmas present for the kids. Gotta wait.
