:haha:

So, you dont like it. Worst than Vanilla Ice??

Yeah. He came on stage 45 minutes late. Obviously high as he was trying to channel Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson in his stage moves. He sounded horrible. And it wasn't the acoustics of the HoB. My brother went and asked a guy standing near the soundboard if he's been to any other of Scott's shows that sound like this. Turns out the guy was a tech for the opening band. He told my brother that Scott has been sounding this bad all tour.

At one point after the third song Scott says "how about a little more enthusiasm from the sides", which is where we were standing. Some guy yells out "how about not sucking". Scott Weiland looked right at me. Then the bouncers showed up. Thought they were coming for me but they grabbed some other guy (the guy who yelled it, I presume) and escorted him out. The fifth song was Mountain Song and I would have rather listened to dogs barking jingle bells.

By the way, the name of the tour is "Purple to the Core: Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts play songs from Purple and Core". Only 3 of the 5 songs we stayed for were from those albums.

As much as I don't like the direction STP is taking now. I can't help but think now I understand why they did it.

If you think about the years wasted and the money that was left on the table because of Scott you really can't blame them. I wish he was still in the band but I have to imagine if I was one of the other guys I would be done with him.

This can be debated, Scott wrote in his book that there were some particular festivals that he reimbursed the band for that they were suppose to play back in 96 that they missed due to his rehab back then. He also said he never got over that either. It's obovious these guys never really got along after there 2nd record.

So STP with Chester have an EP coming with 5 songs and they did a rehearsal prior to their tour. They played some cool songs, Piece of pie, Sex & Violence, Pop´s love suicide and Church on tuesday...very interesting. Wish it was Scott though.

Church On Tuesday sounds really tight. Consider me interested on this EP,no matter what they called this band.

Well, i heard some good things too, hell his show from last year was really good. I wish Scott could be able to make amends with those guys and work as a real band.

But nice gif.

There is a new EPK about the release of the new ep, High Rise.
Chester seems exited about it, and the band is very, very happy.

I still feel like im cheating on Scott. Dont know why.

Did you buy the Talk Show or Army of Anyone albums? Or were those different because they bothered to change the band name?

Nope, never bought them. The TS record is good tough, but i didnt like the singer...AOA the same. Chester is channeling some inner Scott here. Sounds like he is singing with the STP idea on his mind, and you can still recognize its Chester.
Its a good effort.

Army of Anyone is pretty cool, but that singer is pretty horrid. I do wish they would've brought the drummer back to STP with them. Kretz is Brad Wilk-ian in his simplicity and really makes some STP tunes plod.
